Voting Ambassador FAQs
Voting ambassadors play a crucial role in Hawk the Vote's outreach to the Hawkeye community. Ambassadors will work alongside the executive board from the start of the fall semester till election day. You will help with social media outreach, tabling, and emailing. You will earn real-world political organizing experience while gaining course credit.
Voting ambassadors will be expected to commit approximately 1-2 hours per week and be enrolled in our course in partnership with the Department of Political Science. Each week, Hawk the Vote's Programming Director, Danika, will help assign you task to increase the number of Hawkeyes who turn out to vote.
Voting Ambassador enrollment for the 2025 administration will open soon. Follow us on Instagram @votehawk for updates on course registration.
If you'd like to express interest in the course, please contact Danika Jacobsen at htv-programming@uiowa.edu.
