Danika is the Programming Director for Hawk The Vote. She is from West Des Moines, Iowa, and uses she/her/hers pronouns. She studies both English & Creative Writing and Social Justice, with minors in Spanish and Rhetoric & Persuasion. She hopes to increase awareness and interest in different avenues of civic engagement, in addition to our voter registration and election-related engagement. Outside of Hawk The Vote, she is a member of the Hawkapellas, Student Advocates for Planned Parenthood, Students for Disability Advocacy at Iowa, and engages with Iowans for Palestine. She is also a member of the University Honors Program. In her free time, you will probably find her reading, writing, listening to music, and/or drinking a coffee.
