Danika is the Education Director for Hawk The Vote. She is from West Des Moines, Iowa, and uses she/her/hers pronouns. She studies both English & Creative Writing and Social Justice, with a Spanish minor and a Human Rights Certificate. She strives to increase awareness and interest in different avenues of civic engagement, in addition to our voter registration and election-related engagement. Outside of Hawk The Vote, she is a member of the Hawkapellas, Student Advocates for Planned Parenthood, and a few community organizations. She is also a member of the University Honors Program and the Presidential Scholars Program. In her free time, you will probably find her reading, writing, listening to music, and/or drinking a coffee.
