Josh is the Executive Director for Hawk The Vote, and he previously served as the Operations Director in 2024. He is from West Des Moines, Iowa, and hopes to expand Hawk The Vote's presence on campus in the 2025 Local Election—specifically through increased student organization partnerships, continuing the course for the Fall 2025 semester, and targeted, creative programming engaging new student populations on campus. In this role, he will strive to facilitate a student-centered mission while upholding the hard work from the 2024 Election Cycle. Outside of Hawk The Vote, he works as a Resident Assistant in Currier Residence Hall, is an active member of the University Honors Program, and works as an intern with the Iowa Department of Transportation. In his free time, you can find him playing on his Nintendo Switch, trying different coffee shops around Iowa City (his favorite is Coffee Emporium), going thrifting, or just hanging out with friends and family. Josh is excited to lead the 2025 Executive Board and spotlight the ever-important local elections happening around the Iowa City area.
