Vote in the Student Government Election

Cast your ballot for student representatives! USG provides input to staff, faculty, and administrators on students-centered initiatives.

All undergraduate students are eligible to vote in the University of Iowa student government elections. Visit Hawk the Vote's Instagram for up-to-date information on USG elections including candidate information and voting guides.

Online polls open on Monday, March 25th, and close Wednesday, March 27th. Election results will be announced on Friday, March 29th.

Represent the Student Body

Make a difference on campus and run as a student representative in the Undergraduate Student Government. Individuals who earned the required number of student signatures per the Student Elections Code and received notice from the Student Elections Commissioner are now approved for candidacy.

Approved Candidate Meeting Dates

Tuesday, Feb 27, Native Nations Room (IMU 341)

Thursday, Feb 29, Academics Room (IMU 256)

Friday, Mar 1, Native Nations Room (IMU 341)

Meetings are held from 6-7 PM for approved senatorial candidates and 7-8 PM for approved presidential candidates.
